But, when I use a flash drive UFD using Windows PE, to attempt to capture an image, it does recognize the Portable or any other USB drive...in order to CAPTURE the Can't Find Hard Drive Windows 10 it probably did something to the drive to make it not bootable/recognizable considering the fact that another drive booted up just fine in your computer. Ok.

A few minutes later the system froze, as experimental systems sometimes do.

The thing is, its making this screeching noise when I attach it to the laptop. If the drive does work on other computers — or you don’t have another computer around to test this with — Windows may be having a driver problem with the drive. If the drive does appear to be partitioned, it may be partitioned with the wrong file system. I'm guessing this is part of the problem.
