I had 188.8.131.52 installed, but later installed an Open Client/Open Server (SDK) EBF which is a later version than the 184.108.40.206 libs and dlls. When that is used, it generates a system-wide message that the environment has changed. This just means there is another missing file. Run copylibs.bat to copy the files and get DBArtisan to work. his comment is here

For Sybase users I found this help: In 12.5 OpenClient SDKs the libraries have names like : libct.dll, libcs.dll etc. My 220.127.116.11 ASE servers even started without hassles. There is a dependency between libsrv.dll and libblk.dll which is why Open Client ships with both dll's. Can you mail it to me for scrutiny ?
Interestingly Microsoft's Dependency > > Walker shows that there is a dependency issue between libblk.dll and > > libsrv.dll. > > > > We also get the error when we try There's a README file in the scripts directory with more inf. Cast Workbench (http://www.castsoftware.com/products/tools/index.html) is a very nice tool that lets you debug Sybase stored procedures in realtime. http://www.devsuperpage.com/search/Articles.aspx?G=2&ArtID=113850 It looks like the DLLs that ship with Open Client for ASE 18.104.22.168 on Linux have mismatching versions!
They should only be in the sybase\ocs-12_5\dll >>directory. >> >>Do you have multiple versions of Sybase installed on this PC? >>If so, you need to make sure that your environment variables I'm trying to connect natively since I haven't defined an ODBC data source for it.Anyway, when I supply the connection information and try connecting I get the error on the subject if you look at the sybinit.err file again the file name of the missing file would have changed so you need to keep doing this until there are no more errors. There are a lot of bug fixes over two years!
I bet it's a hoot! [:D] ORIGINAL: VBScab If you're going to talk to the vendor, you want to ask him why his application is so brain-dead that it even cares https://www.toadworld.com/products/toad-data-modeler/f/30/t/2213 You might want to make sure that "c:\sybase\OCS-12_5\dll" is the very first item in your PATH environment variable. If you are using an upgraded copy of Open Client 11.1.1, please install a full copy My path includes C:\Program Files\Sybase.15\OCS-15_0\dll which is where the dlls are stored and my version Answered 06/17/2009 by: VBScab Please log in to comment Please log in to comment 0 via the Control Panel 'System' applet The first step we did was to update the PATH
There should be a folder named OCS-15_0 which contains a couple of subfolders. this content We believe it is some problem with > >> > > the > > > >>>ASE 22.214.171.124 DLLs, because if we go back to the old Sybase ASE 11.9.2 > >> Clearly, with the code and concept having been around since 1995-ish, the Windows Installer team evidently took the view that it was a bit "leading edge" and didn't bother implementing it. According to the list of dlls loaded, it seems that your app is using DBLIB as opposed to CTLIB because libsybdb.dll is loaded and libct.dll is not. and what version are you using (you don't seem to have the OCS directories) 0 LVL 6 Overall: Level 6 Sybase Database 6 Message Expert Comment by:ChrisKing2006-05-15 Comment Utility Permalink(# You have posted to a forum that requires a moderator to approve posts before they are publicly available. weblink Interestingly Microsoft's Dependency Walker shows that there is a dependency issue between libblk.dll and libsrv.dll.
Sybase IQ up to release 12.6 is shipped with Sybase Open Client / Server that matches the default naming convention. In 15.x OpenClient SDKs the libaries all have names like: libsybct.dll, libsybcs.dll etc. Regards, Shaun ---- Shaun Gostelow Senior Implementation Engineer Insignia Medical Systems Neal Stack Posted on 2003-12-03 15:00:55.0Z From: Neal Stack
Execute listdlls from another window, possibly stating the executable name, and verify the list.
The dll folder contains all the loadable dll's for Sybase Open Client / Server. Forums Archive > ASE > Open Client > "Entry point not found - libsrv.dll (ASE OC 126.96.36.199)" Entry point not found - libsrv.dll (ASE OC 188.8.131.52) 10 posts in Open Client I looked at the dependancy for libsybdb.dll and it is definitely NOT dependant on libct.dll or libsrv.dll. This usually indicates a version mismatch. > > Do you have multiple copies of "libsrv.dll" on this PC?
All applications compiled against Sybase OC/OS 12.5 will thus not find the required Client Library files in the PATH, as the names differ. The open client library is installed in C:\Sybase. If you acknowledge the error, the dll will be unloaded again. http://culturahq.com/cannot-load/cannot-load-oci-dll.html If so, you need to make sure that your environment variables (SYBASE, SYBASE_OCS, PATH, LIB, INCLUDE, etc.) point to one version or the other.
This quick video will show you how to change your primary email address. You have posted to a forum that requires a moderator to approve posts before they are publicly available. An application? This was don't to avoid possible name collisions with other vendor dlls.

Datastage is one example of an application that does not work with the Sybase IQ 12.7 installation. Make 100% sure that you did not apply the 184.108.40.206 patch onto an Open Client 12.5.1 installation, as these are totally different animals.
